At Brooklyn's Elsewhere in November 2024, Blood Incantation played Absolute Elsewhere start to finish. They stopped once, between its two roughly 20-minute pieces, "The Stargate" and "The Message," to tell the room where they were. Nicklas Malmqvist of the Swedish prog band Hällas played synths. The set moved from death metal into prog-rock drift and back without a seam, then ended with "Inner Paths (to Outer Space)" from Hidden History of the Human Race and an encore of "Obliquity of the Ecliptic." The Denver band made the album at Berlin's Hansa Tonstudios with producer Arthur Rizk, with guests including Tangerine Dream's Thorsten Quaeschning, and Century Media released it on October 4, 2024. Metal Hammer called it the best metal album of the year.
