On a bill built mostly from country, rock and Southern rap, Kygo looks like the odd booking, and his 2026 makes it look a lot less odd. In April he put out "That's When You Know," a house track sung by Carter Faith, who is also on this lineup. Next came "Heaven On Your Mind" with Dan Tyminski, the bluegrass singer whose voice carried Avicii's "Hey Brother," and the two played both songs together at Palm Tree Festival. In July it was "Take Me Back" with singer-songwriter Max McNown. None of that replaces the catalog that made Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, raised in Bergen, Norway, a streaming fixture in the first place. "Firestone" with Conrad Sewell and "Stole the Show" with Parson James both sit past a billion Spotify plays, and in 2015 they made him the fastest artist to a billion streams there. "It Ain't Me" with Selena Gomez went top 10 on the Hot 100 in 2017, and his 2019 remake of Whitney Houston's "Higher Love" topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. He played "Carry Me" at the closing ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympics. The albums run from Cloud Nine in 2016 through Kids in Love, Golden Hour and Thrill of the Chase to a self-titled record in 2024, and in October 2026 he was back with another single, "Before You Know It," featuring Ava Max.
