Jutes spent almost 15 years making music before most people heard it, and for seven of them he didn't play live at all, held back by anxiety and self-doubt. He grew up on a ranch in rural Ottawa, moved to Los Angeles, signed a record deal and then lost it. "Sleepyhead," made on his phone while he was independent and broke, was the song that finally caught in 2024. Dilworth came next, and he's now sober.
Chin Up, Beautiful, released in August 2026, is the first project he built as a world before writing the songs: 13 tracks about a man trapped in a simulation that never quite ends, with videos that follow the story and a title track that loops back into "Disassociate." Melodic Magazine called it his heaviest album. He took it on a North American headline tour with In Color, Mothica and WILT opening.
