The 2010s emo-grunge wave produced plenty of bands that sounded like the '90s, and Superheaven, from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, were one of them, first under the name Daylight before switching names in 2014. Jar came out in 2013 and Ours Is Chrome in 2015, and then the band went quiet. The catalog kept moving without them. In early 2025 "Youngest Daughter," from Jar, picked up the band's first RIAA gold certification. By then they'd already returned with "Long Gone" and "Numb To What Is Real" in late 2024, and Superheaven, their first album in ten years, followed on April 18, 2025, via Blue Grape, recorded and engineered by members Jake Clarke and Zack Robbins and co-produced by Will Yip. The tour behind it reached Louder Than Life that September.
