Nikita Madorsky grew up in Louisville, started producing during college in South Carolina — including a two-year residency at a Columbia club called Cotton Gin — and now works out of San Francisco under a dark, film-score-indebted take on bass music that leans on jazz and hip-hop samples as much as pure low end.

A background in professional ballroom dancing shows up directly in his stage presence, and the "villain" persona — an all-red suit for one EP, monochrome coveralls for the next — turned a 2022 TikTok breakout into a 2023 debut EP on San Holo's bitbird label and, by 2025, festival slots at Lost Lands and Project Glow alongside support runs for Zeds Dead and Illenium.
