Sir Taegan Harris was homeless while making the earliest Love Spells songs, eventually moving to California to crash with a friend he'd only met online rather than give up on the project entirely.

The Love I Showed You Was Yours To Keep, the 2025 EP that actually broke through, led directly to Kevin Abstract featuring him on more than half the tracks on Blush that same year — a huge co-sign for an artist who'd been making dreamy, Mazzy Star-indebted indie rock with essentially no safety net underneath him.

Love Is the Law, his debut album for RCA, arrived in July 2026 as the fuller statement of that same fragile, hopeful sound — twelve songs built around the idea that love is, as the title insists, unavoidable, coming from someone who found some of his own the hard way.
