Harlee Case and Josh Smith met in church as teenagers in Portland, and Smith recorded Case's very first song in his childhood bedroom.
Then they went their separate ways after high school, pursuing music separately while working other jobs, and didn't reunite until Case posted an Instagram note in 2015 looking for collaborators — Smith answered his own old friend's ad.
They didn't write their first song together until 2018, but 'Hot Blooded,' the single that followed in 2021, has since passed 50 million streams. Kyle Farook joined as a touring member in 2024, and their debut album arrived in 2026 — a genuinely slow-burn reunion story that took a decade from bedroom recording to an actual full-length.
