Worship exists because four drum & bass artists — Sub Focus, Dimension, Culture Shock, and 1991 — looked at the American touring circuit around 2020 and decided the genre needed a joint vehicle to actually break through there, rather than each act touring separately to smaller American crowds. The supergroup format worked: Worship became one of the driving forces behind drum & bass's stateside surge over the following years.

Sub Focus, one of the four, was part of the first-ever drum & bass headlining show at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre — a genuinely historic booking for a genre that spent decades being treated as a UK-only concern on the US festival circuit. Worship's set here uses the same four-way, tag-team format that's made their live shows feel like an event rather than just another DJ set.
