"Girl All the Bad Guys Want" got Bowling For Soup a Grammy nomination in 2003, which is a funny place for a band this committed to not taking itself seriously. The run of singles after it, including "1985," "Almost" and "High School Never Ends," are the songs most people know them by.
The band formed in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1994 before moving to Denton, with Jaret Reddick singing and writing from the start. Gary Wiseman and Rob Felicetti are in the current lineup. Chris Burney, the other founding member, retired in January 2025 after three decades, citing his health and the grind of nonstop touring.
