Two founding members, singer Shaant Hacikyan and drummer Tom Falcone, brought Cute Is What We Aim For back in late summer 2026, with a show at the Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey, on August 27 and a spot on Boys Like Girls' Soundtrack of Your Summer Fest in Boston two days later. Sonic Temple's billing calls their Sunday set a reunion show. The band started in Buffalo, New York, and moved fast. Fueled by Ramen released The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch in 2006, and it debuted at No. 75 on the Billboard 200 before Rotation followed in 2008. Breakups, hiatuses and lineup turnover filled most of the years after, which is why Hacikyan and Falcone sharing a stage again counts as the news.
