Two singers, two guitars, one Manchester band: Hot Milk is Han Mee and Jim Shaw up front, and they spent their first years on EPs, three of them between 2019 and 2022, before their debut album, A Call to the Void, landed on Music For Nations in August 2023. Its lead single, "Horror Show," came with the announcement that the record had been made in Manchester, Los Angeles and Stockholm.
Corporation P.O.P, released June 27, 2025, is angrier and more local. The band told Kerrang! that P.O.P. stands for "payment of pain," and the record digs into the love-hate relationship a lot of Brits have with their own country. That summer they headlined the Kerrang! Stage at Slam Dunk and played a handful of dates supporting Green Day, and in the same interview they were blunt about what U.S. touring costs a band their size, citing visas at $20,000 for three years.
