Highly Suspect have a long paper trail in Columbus. They played Rock on the Range in 2015 and again in 2016, and in between the stadium dates you can trace the rooms getting bigger: A&R Music Bar twice in 2016, Newport Music Hall in 2017, Express Live in 2018 and 2019, KEMBA Live in 2022 and again in December 2025. A festival slot here isn't a debut so much as a return to where the climb is on record.

The band grew out of Cape Cod, built around singer and guitarist Johnny Stevens and Rich and Ryan Meyer, and broke nationally with Mister Asylum in 2015. That record earned a Best Rock Album Grammy nomination, and "Lydia" got one for Best Rock Song. The next single, "My Name Is Human," topped Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart and picked up its own Best Rock Song nomination for the 2017 ceremony, in a field that included David Bowie's "Blackstar."

Their latest album is As Above, So Below, from 2024. A U.S. headlining run was set to start May 17, 2026 in Madison, Wisconsin, announced weeks after a new single, "Yellow Roses," and a February show at Live at the Domain in Auckland.
