Trap metal is a loose term, and Kim Dracula, from Tasmania, stretches it about as far as it goes, pulling nu-metal, industrial, jazz and hyperpop into the same songs. The catalog starts in 2020, with singles including "Paparazzi" and "Killdozer." A Gradual Decline in Morale, the debut album on Columbia, followed in July 2023, carrying "Make Me Famous," "Drown" and "Seventy Thorns," and a U.S. headlining tour with Jeris Johnson and Tallah came after it.
In September 2025 Dracula teased the next album with a riddle about the one night a year when shadows outnumber the living. They also turn up on Witch, the 2026 In This Moment album, so two of this weekend's acts share an album credit.
