Friday, April 23 puts Brothers Osborne on a Stagecoach bill with at least one of the people on their newest record. Stephen Wilson Jr., who sings on "Tough Kid," plays Indio the next day. That song is on Watertown, the duo's fifth studio album, out October 23, 2026 on MCA and produced by their longtime collaborator Jay Joyce. It's also the first time John and TJ Osborne have put featured guests on one of their full-length albums; Cody Johnson turns up on the opener, "Born and Raised Hell."
The title is about home. The brothers grew up in Deale, Maryland, a small town in a corner of the Chesapeake Bay, where acoustic jams at the Osborne house regularly ran well into the night. TJ was the deep-voiced singer, John the guitar picker, and that split still defines the band. They announced the album with a surprise set at The Boathouse in Deale, so the hometown angle isn't subtle.
Watertown lands ten years after their debut, Pawn Shop, released in January 2016 with "Stay a Little Longer," "21 Summer" and "It Ain't My Fault" on it. Its first single, "Rum," went out in 2014. Later came a 2019 live album, Live at the Ryman, drawn from three sold-out nights, and then Skeletons, the first record they cut with the whole road band. The new one heads back toward that country-rock sound rather than away from it, and they teased it with shortened "SELLOUT EDITS" of a few songs while the full versions went to their free fan club, The Family.
