Frankie Cassidy and Nathan Ross met as students at Montana State University in Bozeman and started out in dorm rooms, then packed local venues, writing harmony-heavy, stripped-down folk about friendship and the country that brought them there. A self-titled EP came out in 2024. "Forgot Your Roots" gave them their first real traction online, and "Fool's Gold," from the Take Me Home EP, took off in late 2025; it's past 130 million streams and reached No. 3 on the AAA radio chart.
Arista gave them their first record deal. In 2025 they made festival debuts at Under the Big Sky and RedWest, then went out opening for Dylan Gossett, who's on Stagecoach's Friday bill. Billboard named them its Chartbreaker for March 2026, their first headline tour sold out, and they made their national TV debut on CBS Saturday Morning's Saturday Sessions. Pictures of You, the debut album, arrived July 31, 2026, 14 songs with a production credit list that includes Ryan Hadlock and Sam Westhoff, and the tour behind it sold out too.
