Florida Georgia Line's reunion started as a surprise. In June 2026, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley walked out together at a CMA Fest pop-up in Nashville and played "Cruise," their first time performing as a duo in years. Stagecoach is the next step, a late-night set on the Mustang Stage in the same late-night program as Sean Paul and Flo Rida, and their first officially announced full show since they put FGL on pause in 2022 to go solo. The last time they played Indio was 2018, when they headlined alongside Garth Brooks and Keith Urban.
The song they opened with in Nashville is still the one everything traces back to. Hubbard and Kelley were Belmont University students when they started writing with Jesse Rice, a neighbor who saw them sitting on a truck tailgate across from his townhouse. The Nelly remix of "Cruise" went to iTunes on April 2, 2013, sold 186,000 downloads in its first week and peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100. The song spent 24 weeks atop Hot Country Songs, a record until Sam Hunt broke it in 2017, and then FGL took it back with "Meant to Be," their 2018 duet with Bebe Rexha. "Cruise" is certified 14 times platinum.
Indio is also the first stop on Anything Goes Again: The Festival Tour, 12 festival headlining dates across 2027. Kelley has said the songs have taken on a life of their own since the break.
