Not for Radio is María Zardoya stepping outside The Marías, the band she's fronted for years, to make something rougher-edged and more private. Melt, her debut under the new name, came out in October 2025, recorded that January at a studio in upstate New York while she was snowed in and turning over one question repeatedly: whether love is worth the pain that comes with it.

It debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 — a real chart entry for a side project explicitly built to not chase radio play, which the name itself makes a point of. Bloom, a follow-up EP, arrived in April 2026, extending the same dream-pop, bedroom-pop mood rather than pivoting toward anything more commercial.
