Jadagrace and SWIM have been best friends since childhood, a friendship that runs more than fifteen years deep and long predates any band name.
They started making music together in 2019 as grouptherapy., alongside TJOnline and Rhea, releasing a debut album, I Was Mature For My Age, But I Was Still A Child, in 2023 before Rhea and then TJOnline left the group. The two remaining members went quiet for most of 2024, then came back in January 2025 as PARTYOF2 with the EP We Owe You An Explanation, followed by Amerika's Next Top Party! on Def Jam Recordings — the rebrand of a group that lost half its members but kept its two founding friends intact.
