Part of Gavin Adcock's 2026 went to opening for Morgan Wallen, 16 dates on the Still The Problem Tour, while his own headline run, The Day I Hang It Up Tour, was booked for 27 cities from May 7 in Hollywood, Florida, into mid-November. The album of the same name came out October 2 on his Thrivin Here Records, licensed to Warner Records Nashville, more than two dozen songs long, with ERNEST on "Save My Breath," Treaty Oak Revival on "Us Again" and Hudson Westbrook, another name on this bill, on "Cheap Thrills." In March he put out Country Never Dies, 11 covers reaching from Waylon Jennings and George Jones to Keith Whitley and Lynyrd Skynyrd, made with younger acts like Jake Worthington and Vincent Mason. His own name is on "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line" and "Mama Tried."
His own bio tells the start this way: raised on a family cattle farm in Watkinsville, Georgia, playing football at Georgia Southern, then a knee injury in spring 2021 that left him time to record his first original single. Actin' Up Again, in August 2024, was his major-label debut, and Own Worst Enemy, a year later, opened at No. 4 on Billboard's country albums chart and No. 14 on the all-genre Billboard 200. "A Cigarette" and "Run Your Mouth" are among his biggest singles, and he has twice been up for the ACM's New Male Artist of the Year.
