Bullet For My Valentine come from Bridgend in south Wales, where they got started as students at Bridgend College. Their 2005 debut, The Poison, only reached No. 128 on the Billboard 200 in the U.S. What came next is the part American fans know: Scream Aim Fire reached No. 4 in 2008, Fever No. 3 in 2010, and Venom got back into the top 10 at No. 8 in 2015.

The Poison got its due later on. There's a 20th-anniversary edition, and a co-headline run with Trivium sold out London's O2 arena in 2025, according to their label.

Social Apocalypse is the eighth album, out March 19, 2027 on Spinefarm. The title track, released with the announcement, was their first new song in four years. Carl Bown, who has worked on four Bullet albums, produced it. Guests are rare for this band and there are two here: Against The Current's Chrissy Costanza duets on "In The Absence Of You," and Lorna Shore's Will Ramos shows up on "I Don't Trust Tomorrow."

Matt Tuck has tied the record to the world his kids are growing up in. "People are being pitted against each other," he said when it was announced. "As a father, I look at what the world is like for younger people, and how completely different it is now." What the label calls their biggest tour yet comes first, through UK and European arenas in January and February 2027 with Pendulum as special guests, ending at Manchester's AO Arena on February 27.
