Hot Mulligan were in Columbus as recently as October 29, 2025, when the tour for The Sound a Body Makes When It's Still came through KEMBA Live with Drug Church, Arm's Length and Anxious, and the Sonic Temple booking brings them back to the city for Sunday. Their own tour page has them heading to Rock for People in the Czech Republic in early June.
That album came out August 22, 2025, on Wax Bodega, previewed by a single called "And A Big Load." The title sounds like a joke and isn't. Talking about it, the band described two ways to read it: the meditation route, or the plain horror of being stuck in a body you have no choice but to live in. New Noise singled out how much of it deals with loss, including losing someone to cancer, while the song titles stayed as unserious as ever, "Monica Lewinskibidi" and "Bon Jonah" among them. That push and pull is the whole band, basically.
The touring around it was wide. Before the fall run there was a rooftop show at Brooklyn's Elsewhere with Oso Oso and Wakelee, and the dates announced alongside the album pulled in support from Prince Daddy & the Hyena, Carly Cosgrove, KennyHoopla and others, plus a European arena run supporting Pierce the Veil.
