Sleep Theory is also on this lineup, and that matters for Nevertel. By Nevertel's account the two bands have toured together several times, including Sleep Theory's back-to-back hometown shows in Memphis, and Sleep Theory guests on "Break the Silence," a track from Nevertel's 2025 album Start Again. If you came for one of them, the other is an easy add to your Friday.
Nevertel comes out of Tampa, Florida. Jeremy Michael (vocals) and Raul Lopez (rap vocals, guitar, production) met in high school, drifted through other bands, and quit music for a while. Lopez has said seeing Linkin Park's Carnivores tour in 2013 or 2014 is what pulled him back, and the band then spent about nine years writing, producing and promoting everything themselves. Epitaph lists their sound as metalcore, nu-metal, hip-hop and electronic music folded into modern rock.
Radio is how they finally got a label. "Everything in My Mind" landed on SiriusXM Octane, Epitaph heard it there, and by the band's account Brett Gurewitz's first question at the meeting was why they even needed a label. Start Again came out on September 12, 2025, as their Epitaph debut. That fall they lined up Sleep Theory's Afterglow Pt. II tour, a European headline run with Rivals, and Memphis May Fire's Shapeshifter tour. In 2026 they played Louder Than Life in Louisville.
