Statesboro, Georgia is a college town, home to Georgia Southern, and Dylan Marlowe's way into music started with a baseball injury his senior year of high school. Laid up, he picked up a guitar, and Eric Church's songwriting got him writing.
His dad played drums in a rock band and his mom listened to country, and the mix stuck. He names Blink-182 and Weezer right next to Church and says a lot of his melodies come out of pop-punk. In Nashville, a country cover of Olivia Rodrigo's "Drivers License" on TikTok built him an audience, and fellow Georgian Trea Landon connected him to Dallas Davidson and a 2020 publishing and artist development deal with Play It Again. Sony Music Nashville signed him as an artist.
As a writer he has a No. 1 with Jon Pardi's "Last Night Lonely," co-written with Jimi Bell and Joe Fox; he first figured he'd cut it himself. "Boys Back Home," his duet with Dylan Scott, was still in the Country Airplay top 10 after 57 weeks on the chart.
Mid-Twenties Crisis, his 2024 debut album, has 14 songs he co-wrote, including "Shop Radio," about the radio in his father's shop. In 2026 he opened for Ella Langley on The Dandelion Tour, her first arena headline run; years earlier they'd been writing songs together around bonfires in Hermitage, Tennessee.
