Laci Kaye Booth calls what she makes "dreamy country," and says it was the first thing she announced when she moved to Nashville. Her newest album, Love Ain't for the Faint of Heart, came out September 18, 2026 on Lost Highway Records: a dozen songs produced by Ben West, with Lukas Nelson joining her on "The Illusion of Love." She grew up in Livingston, Texas, in a family whose country roots go back to a great-great-grandfather in a Texas swing band called the Polk County Ramblers. Her dad, also a singer, showed her three chords, and she worked out the rest on her bedroom floor.
Most people first saw her in 2019, as a Top 5 finalist on season 17 of American Idol. Her Geffen album The Loneliest Girl in the World came later, with Stevie Nicks and Merle Haggard as the names she cites most. She has toured with Ella Langley and Parker McCollum, and in May 2027 she plays Australian arenas with Megan Moroney.
