Drea Kaplan had been singing since elementary school, long before she built a dance-music career first as MISS DRE and then, after a 2025 rebrand, as Dreya V — a name change that came with a genuine shift toward more atmospheric, tension-built production rather than just a new logo.

Her viral remix of Tinashe's "Nasty" picked up support from Dom Dolla, Mau P, and MEDUZA, and "Lucy," one of her own tracks, helped land her a spot on Dancing Astronaut's 2025 Artists to Watch list.

She's since played EDC Las Vegas, Project GLOW, and Day Trip, releasing across Dirtybird, Insomniac, and Night Bass — labels that span house's underground and its more festival-facing side, which tracks with a DJ who builds her sets specifically for the stretch between late night and early morning.
