Jigitz grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a long way from the UK garage scene he'd eventually carve out an American lane in after relocating to Brooklyn and releasing his first music in 2017.
"tell you straight," the single that actually broke him, spent multiple weeks on the Billboard Dance Chart and picked up co-signs from Louis The Child, BUNT., and Jersey — enough momentum to carry an album called All My Exes Live in Brooklyn and a 2025 tour through Australia and New Zealand, a long way from wherever the Albuquerque version of this scene would have been.
