Waylon Wyatt Potter — named for Waylon Jennings, not that it was subtle — wrote his first song, "How to Be a Man," at six years old, years before a teenage detour through rap gave way to country music he found on YouTube at fifteen.
His parents split the difference between traditional country and bluegrass at home, and that mix shows up across "Arkansas Diamond" and "Everything Under the Sun," the breakout singles that got him an opening slot for Dwight Yoakam and a major-label deal; Dustpiles, his July 2026 debut album, follows 2025's Out of the Blue EP as the fuller statement from an artist who's barely out of his teens.
