Two of Carter Faith's 2026 collaborators are on this lineup with her. Kygo built "That's When You Know," out April 10, around her vocal, a house track whose video put her and Rudy Pankow in a cherry-red 1967 Pontiac on a ranch in Ashland City, Tennessee. Then in September came "I'm Sorry But I Love You" with Waylon Wyatt, which the two wrote with Tofer Brown. She'd planned on singing harmony until he asked her for a whole verse.
She was born Carter Jones and grew up in Davidson, North Carolina, then went through Belmont's songwriting program and put out three EPs before Cherry Valley in October 2025. July's Cherry Valley Forever added five songs to it, "Nothin' Better To Do" with Wyatt Flores and "Pearl Handled Pistol" with Laci Kaye Booth and Baby Nova among them. In September she got her first CMA nomination, New Artist of the Year, in a field that includes Avery Anna, another Gulf Shores act.
Her fall included dates with Chris Stapleton, Kacey Musgraves and Shaboozey, and then came the acting. Heartland, a Netflix film with Jessica Chastain, premieres November 13, 2026, and Faith wrote and sings "Still the Sparrow Sings" for it. She filmed a live take of it at the Bluebird Cafe.
