Infected Rain started in Chișinău, Moldova, in 2008, co-founded by guitarist Vadim "Vidick" Ojog and singer Elena Cataraga, who performs as Lena Scissorhands. Napalm Records signed them, and the international push came in waves, with Ecdysis, their fifth album, arriving in 2022.
TIME followed on February 9, 2024, their sixth record, which the band described as an homage to every fleeting second. The current lineup has Vidick and Lena alongside bassist Alice Lane and drummer Eugene Voluta. In March 2026 they co-headlined the Mutation Phase tour across the UK and Europe with Butcher Babies, who are on this Sonic Temple lineup too, then took it to the U.S. as headliners that May and June.
