Wolves At The Gate are close to a home-state act here: they're an Ohio band, and a Solid State Records band, the label that has long been home base for Christian metalcore. Steve Cobucci plays guitar and sings the clean vocals, and Nick Detty handles the lead screams.
Wasteland, the sixth album, came out May 30, 2025, co-produced by Cobucci and Spiritbox's Josh Gilbert and launched with a short film for "Parasite." It's loosely a concept record. Cobucci has described the wasteland as a frame of mind he keeps getting pulled back into and hates, "a world of empty promises," a mirage, and "Parasite" works the same idea from the other side: the host that keeps feeding the thing killing it, which he ties directly to sin.
