Cameron Whitcomb has said he was worried hardly anyone would turn up for his Stagecoach set in April 2026. The stage was packed. The rest of his year ran about the same way: The Hard Way, his 2025 debut, won the Juno for country album of the year, and after taking Breakthrough Artist and Fans' Choice at the 2025 Canadian Country Music Association awards, he came back nominated for entertainer of the year in 2026.

"Kingdom of Fear," from the 2026 EP Deep Water on Atlantic Outpost, is about anxiety. He started it at home with producer Jack Riley and Nolan Sipe and finished it in Nashville with Cal Shapiro, and in June 2026 it debuted at No. 94 on the Billboard Hot 100, his first time on that chart, while reaching the top 20 of Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. He told Billboard Canada he never thought it would do what it's done.

He spent chunks of February, March and June 2026 opening for HARDY, headlined the Fragile Egos Tour from March 17 in Madison, Wisconsin, and launched the Kingdom of Fear Tour in September. Away from music he skydives (he's licensed and has jumped solo) and is working toward a pilot's license.
