Josh Fawaz, a Queensland-based DJ and producer, had been putting out deep house and UK garage since a 2015 debut called "Bubble Goose" without much notice. In a post after things changed, he wrote that he'd nearly quit a couple of months before releasing "Like a Prayer," his club cover of the Madonna song. By July 2026 it was No. 1 on Australia's national radio airplay chart and No. 4 on ARIA's Australian and dance singles charts, and a cover of TLC's "No Scrubs" followed. He has since been booked into U.S. clubs, including Trio in Charlotte this November.
