The Basics
In 2026, parking lots and the box office opened at 2:00 PM, gates opened at 3:00 PM, and the music ran until midnight on both days. 2026 was also the first Friday–Saturday edition (2019 through 2025 were Saturday–Sunday), and 2027 keeps that shape, so day one means leaving work early or arriving late. Every ticket is 18+, and you need to be 21+ with valid ID to buy or drink alcohol.
The 2026 ID rules were specific. Accepted: a US government photo ID or driver's license with your date of birth, a US or foreign passport, or a DMV paper ID with a photo. Refused: expired IDs, school IDs, birth certificates, Social Security cards, copies, and driver's licenses from outside the US and Canada on their own. A foreign license paired with a color photocopy of your passport got you in, but not a 21+ wristband or VIP access. The 2026 code of conduct also allowed no re-entry and no ins and outs, so once you're through the gate, you're in for the night.
Which Ticket to Buy
Tickets are sold through Eventim, all two-day, all 18+, with a limit of 10 per customer. 2-Day GA is the base ticket. Eventim notes that its price tiers all grant the same access, so buying early only costs less; the price rises as each tier sells through.
GA+ adds expedited entry and air-conditioned restrooms. VIP adds both of those plus VIP-only viewing areas at multiple stages, VIP-only bars, a collectible laminate and other VIP amenities. Tubbi VIP adds a guest lounge and the elevated viewing area on the grass hill overlooking the main stage. If you upgrade for comfort alone, GA+ is the cheapest way to get a shorter line in and air-conditioned restrooms on an April afternoon.
Every tier has a payment plan, with installments due December 15, January 15 and February 15 after the first payment, and a per-ticket plan fee on top. Eventim offers mobile or printable delivery, paid shipping, and free Will Call.
Don't plan on reselling or handing off a ticket. The 2026 tickets page said Ubbi Dubbi has no official resale portal. Only Will Call orders could be transferred, for a fee, as a whole order, until a few days before the festival; shipped tickets couldn't be transferred at all. Buy for the people who are actually going.
Getting to Panther Island
Rideshare is the simplest option. In 2026, drop-off and pickup were at 1000 Calvert St (follow the Rideshare signs), and the zone had free Wi-Fi and phone-charging stations. Put that address in the app both ways, and pick a meeting spot with your group before the last set, because the whole crowd leaves at midnight.
Driving works if you follow the lot rules. In 2026, lots opened at 2:00 PM, parking was $25 a day (cash or card), and there was no tailgating, no drinking in the lots, and no camping or sleeping in your car. ADA parking needed a valid placard or plate, requested through the festival's accommodation form.
There's no camping at Panther Island. The 2021 edition at Texas Motorplex in Ennis had camping, but that ended when the festival moved back to Fort Worth in 2022. You'll need a bed: the 2027 site's Book Hotel button opens a hotel map preset for check-in April 23 and check-out April 25. If you're flying, the festival lists Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) as its airport.
What to Bring, and What Gets Turned Away
Expect a real search. In 2026, everyone went through a TSA-style screening with a pat-down, police with K9 units worked inside and outside the gates, and the drug policy was zero tolerance, including all marijuana, even medicinal.
Bags (2026 rules): small single-compartment bags, plush bags and purses up to 12 by 12 inches, and fanny packs up to 10 by 9. No multi-pocket bags, nothing bigger than 12 by 12, no luggage. Hydration packs were allowed only empty, with a removable, transparent bladder. You could bring empty reusable aluminum or clear plastic bottles plus one factory-sealed single-serve bottle of water.
Totems had to be lightweight, made of foam or thin-walled PVC, with no metal and no sharp points, under 10 feet tall, on a pole no thicker than an inch. The festival itself suggested a decorated pool noodle.
The 2026 banned list is long, and a few items catch people out. No outside food, drink or candy (yes, even with a candy-planet theme). A plush backpack is fine, but stuffed animals and dolls aren't. Also out: pacifiers, Vicks inhalers, gas masks, laser pointers, aerosol or unsealed sunscreen, liquid makeup, unsealed over-the-counter meds or vitamins, refillable vapes that aren't empty, chairs, umbrellas, tents and hammocks, markers and pens, professional cameras with detachable lenses, drones, costumes that look like police, fire, medical or security uniforms, pocket knives and pepper spray, and pets other than service animals.
Weather: Rain or Shine, With One Exception
The 2026 guide says Ubbi Dubbi runs rain or shine, excluding life-threatening weather, and that exception has been used twice. In 2022, severe weather cancelled day two on Sunday, and the party moved inside The Shack, the venue's indoor building. In 2026, Saturday was suspended and the grounds evacuated around Loud Luxury's sunset set, with reports of funnel clouds, lightning and high winds. Zedd's closing set was cancelled, the festival didn't resume, and Cloonee played an improvised show at SILO, a Dallas club owned by the festival's producer. NBC DFW reported that organizers promised refund details.
That's two second days lost in seven editions; we found no weather stoppages in the other five. You don't need to worry about it, but plan for it. Keep your phone charged (2026 sold lockers with optional charging), follow the festival's official channels for updates, and know how you'd get home if the grounds close early. If you want rain cover, it can't be an umbrella.
Heat and Hydration
The 1991–2020 normals for Dallas Love Field put April's average high at 77°F and the low at 57°F, so expect warm sun when gates open at 3 PM and a cool walk out at midnight. In 2026 the site had free water refill stations, which is why the empty bottle matters. Fill it every time you pass one. Sunscreen has to be a sealed, non-aerosol bottle. Eat before you go in, since outside food isn't allowed.
Planning Before the Day Split
The 2027 lineup came out in alphabetical order, with one blurred mystery slot. There's no day split, stage assignment or set times yet, and we'll add them to our set times page and the schedule builder when the festival posts them. Until then, any clash list you see is a guess.
What you can use now is the name. Ubbi is the house and techno side, Dubbi is dubstep, trap and bass. In 2026 that meant three stages: Ubbi's Stage (the main stage), Dubbi's Stage, and the Zoom Room, a smaller indoor room. The 2027 stages haven't been announced. Four acts are billed for sunset sets: 3BALLMTY, Adventure Club, ŁASZEWO and Sullivan King. Four are back-to-backs, including WANKDAT (Crankdat b2b Wooli) and Panteros666 b2b Pawlowski.
So rank your picks instead of scheduling them. Choose a top five across both sides, from headliners like ILLENIUM and MK down to the undercard picks, and when the split drops you'll only need to settle the ones that land on the same night. The full lineup, the genre guide and who to see are the places to start.
Every rule on this page is from 2026. Check it all against the 2027 guide the week before you go, starting with the ID and bag rules, since those decide whether you get through the gate.
The Bottom Line
A good first Ubbi Dubbi is mostly settled before you get there. Buy early, since the tiers only get more expensive, and buy for the person going, because transfers were limited in 2026. Book a bed, since there's no camping. Bring a physical ID, an empty bottle and a 12-by-12 bag, and leave the stuffed animal at home. More answers are in our Ubbi Dubbi 2027 FAQ.
