MK's 2027 starts in warehouses. The UK tour announced in September 2026 runs from DOCUMENT in Bristol on February 5 to GASWRX in Birmingham on March 13, the last of those under his Area10 banner, a name that goes back to a section of the Henry Ford Hospital parking garage in Detroit where Marc Kinchen worked after school. It also named his first label. These days the name hangs over parties and hosted stages, and he's held a season-long residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza alongside Calvin Harris and played Coachella, Glastonbury, Tomorrowland and Creamfields.
For most of the 1990s he barely DJed at all. He was a studio producer, taught the gear by Kevin Saunderson, who let him use his room when he wasn't in it. Club records like "Burning" and "Always" came out of that, "Always" giving him a UK chart debut in early 1995, and so did the remix of Nightcrawlers' "Push the Feeling On" that DJs still reach for. His rework of Storm Queen's "Look Right Through" helped it to No. 1 in 2013, and by 2017 he was remixing Rihanna and Dua Lipa.
His own name took longer. "17" reached No. 7 in 2017 and "Asking," with Sonny Fodera and Clementine Douglas, matched it in 2023. Then "Dior," with Chrystal, went to No. 1 in July 2025 and held it a second week, his first credited chart-topper, about thirty years after "Always" first charted.
