Allie DeCastris grew up in a musical family playing flute, bass, and piano, but DJing and producing stayed a hobby for her until the pandemic's forced pause pushed her to actually pursue it — Diplo's Higher Ground label picked up her debut single, "I've Been Waiting," and the "Other Side" EP that followed passed two million streams in three months.

She founded Dirty Disco specifically to build female-friendly spaces in Chicago's dance scene, and she's since played alongside Tale of Us, Camelphat, and Carl Craig — genuine techno and house credibility for a producer whose career only started once lockdown gave her the excuse to stop treating it as a side hobby.
