Charlotte de Witte skipped whatever came after high school and went straight into Ghent's club scene at 17, teaching herself to DJ under the alias Raving George before she'd even settled on the name she's known by now.
The breakout took years — she started around 2010, didn't actually thunder into wider recognition until 2017 — but once it landed, it landed hard: first techno artist ever to close Tomorrowland's main stage, and two years running DJ Mag's Best Alternative Top 100 poll, in 2020 and 2021.
KNTXT, the club night and label she founded in Brussels, keeps her sound — dark, stripped-back, acid-leaning — moving on her own terms rather than anyone else's.
