Tanner Allen makes music from a converted mini-school bus he's turned into a mobile studio, living immersed in nature rather than settling anywhere permanently after formal production training at Point Blank Music School in London.
The name Skysia comes from "sky" and "sea" fused together, which tracks with the duality he's going for — melodic bass and downtempo that's simultaneously soothing and intense, dreamy without going fully ambient.
Overture, his 2024 EP on CloZee's own Odyzey label, and Here, his 2023 album released alongside a companion feature film, brought him support from Pretty Lights, CloZee, and LSDREAM — a genuinely cinematic approach for a producer who treats each release as closer to a film project than a standalone EP.
