Amble's three members left a teaching job and a data science career, respectively, to chase a band that started as impromptu pub gigs in Galway after they'd met on social media — Robbie Cunningham, Ross McNerney, and Oisín McCaffrey, from three different Irish counties, with no shared background beyond meeting online. 'Mariner Boy,' their 2023 debut single, was the first sign the gamble might pay off.
It did: Warner Records signed them in 2024, and Reverie, their 2025 debut album, includes 'Lonely Island' and 'Mary's Pub' alongside new material. They've since supported Hozier and Crowded House, picking up standing ovations in places that had never heard of them before the tour started.
