Cloonee's stage name comes from Cloone Lake in Ireland, where his grandfather used to take him fishing — a quieter origin story than most tech house producers bother with.
David Bissett started DJing in Sheffield clubs as a teenager in 2014, working residencies at small local rooms before his 2017 debut EP, Estes, cracked Beatport's Tech House Top 10. “Be Good To Me,” his first Beatport No. 1 in 2019, set the template for the groove-driven sound that's defined him since.
Early support from Michael Bibi and PAWSA led to a signing with Solid Grooves, and he's since founded his own label, Hellbent Records, and played two separate sets at Coachella 2024 — one on the Sahara Stage, one back-to-back with Chris Lorenzo at the Do Lab.
