Disco Lines has a software engineering degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, which he was finishing around the same time his 2020 remix of Taylor Swift's 'Love Story' went viral on TikTok and effectively started his actual music career. Thadeus Labuszewski grew up skiing and hiking in Boulder, raised on 30h!3, Sublime, Pretty Lights, and the Grateful Dead before a middle-school friend played him Skrillex and rerouted his taste toward dance music entirely.
His sound since has settled into a specific blend of deep house, future bass, and trap. His remix of Tinashe's 'No Broke Boys' later topped the US dance chart and became his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
