CloZee — Chloé Herry — started on classical guitar in Toulouse before teaching herself electronic production at 16, and “Koto,” the 2015 single that actually broke her, already had the genre-blending “world bass” sound she's built a whole career around since: UK bass and glitch fused with instrumentation that doesn't usually show up in dance music.
She relocated from France to Denver in 2020, drawn by the city's electronic scene, and that same year founded Odyzey Music, a label built specifically to platform underground bass artists rather than just release her own work.
Odyzey has since run stage takeovers at festivals like Electric Zoo and spun off her own event, Voyage Festival, and she made DJ Mag's cover in December 2022 — a rare thing for an artist working this far outside mainstream EDM's usual sound.
